This has a lot of ingredients in it, but after a lot of experimenting, I've found that this makes a really wonderful combination for a chili. I make this at least once a month and my bf and I enjoy it every time. So I wanted to share it with the Zaar community and also put it here for safe-keeping. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 1/4 lbs ground turkey
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 onion, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
1/2 yellow bell pepper, chopped
1 (16 ounce) can dark red kidney beans
1 (16 ounce) can pinto beans
1 (16 ounce) can black beans
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or slightly less)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4-1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups water
Directions:
1. Brown ground turkey, Worcestershire sauce, chopped onion, chopped green, yellow, and red bell peppers over medium-high heat in a Dutch oven or large saucepan. until meat is browned. Drain, if desired and return to pan.
