SOME KINDA RICH FUDGE DATED 1964 This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Huddleston Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1989. This one is tried and true. It’s a great recipe to whip up when you need a quick gift or pick-me up for family or friends.
Ingredients:
1/2 stick unsalted butter
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
12 ounces milk chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon imitation butter flavor
14 ounces marshmallow crème
2 cups pecans chopped
1 large can evaporated milk
4-1/2 cups granulated sugar
Directions:
1. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil then butter foil and set aside.
2. Place chips, flavors, half the marshmallow crème and nuts in large saucepan.
3. In separate saucepan bring milk and sugar to rolling boil while stirring constantly.
4. Add butter and marshmallow crème.
5. Bring back to a rolling boil and continue to boil 8 minutes.
6. Remove from heat and pour mixture over chips, vanilla and nuts without scraping sides.
7. Mix thoroughly and pour into prepared pan then cool 3 hours at room temperature.
8. Remove from pan then remove foil and cut into squares.
