Martha Stewart's Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies. They are a staple in my house!
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
2. In a small bowl sift together flour and baking soda, set aside.
3. In a large bowl, combine butter and both sugars. Beat on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Reduce speed to low, add salt, vanilla, and eggs. Beat until well mixed, about 1 minute.
4. Add flour mixture, mix until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
5. Drop heaping spoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto baking trays lined with parchment paper.
6. Bake until golden around the edges and soft in the middle, about 8-10 minutes.
