Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons margarine
1 1/4 cups soymilk
1 tablespoon soy milk
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, mix a/p flour, whole wheat flour, sugar, salt and baking soda. With a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles course crumbs. Add buttermilk and stir only enough to moisten dry ingredients. Shape dough into flattened ball about 2 inches high. Place on a greased cookie sheet and brush top with the 1 tablespoon milk. Cut an X in the top of the loaf to allow for expansion during baking. Bake at 375 for 40 minutes.
