I believe that this recipe is singularly responsible for more broken diets, chunky hips, fat bellies and the like than any other recipe in existence. Please use extreme care around people of low will-power.
Ingredients:
35 or 40 marshmallows cut into pieces of enough minis to match
300g pkg of semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp butter
1 whole egg
1 cup icing sugar, sifted
1/2 tsp vanilla
3 - 4 oz nut meats
3 oz flaked coconut
Directions:
1. Melt the chocolate chips and butter in the microwave until just melted (times will vary depending on unit)
2. Mix thoroughly and add icing sugar, egg and vanilla
3. Mix thoroughly again
4. Mix marshmallows in gently to retain some shape and texture
5. Mixture is ready to mold when consistency is putty-like
6. If mixture is too soft to mold, refrigerate for a few minutes and try again.
7. On waxed paper place nut meats and coconut along with a little more icing sugar.
8. Put the chocolate mix on top of this and roll up into a log.
9. Wrap tightly in wax paper and refrigerate several hours.
10. When well chilled, break or slice into small pieces.
