So Easy Roasted Asparagus

Another delicious Southern Living recipe....
Ingredients:
1 lb fresh asparagus
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, salt, and pepper in small bowl.
2. Set aside.
3. Wash, and snap off tough ends of asparagus.
4. Arrange asparagus spears in a 15x10 jellyroll pan.
5. Drizzle with olive oil.
6. Broil about 4 minutes, or until skin of asparagus begins to pucker.
7. Sprinkle with the sugar/salt/pepper mixture.
8. Serve immediately.
