Snowy Day Chili

Quick and easy slow cooker chili to warm you up after a day in the snow!
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef
1 medium onion, small dice
diced tomato (2 - 14.5 oz cans)
tomato sauce (1 - 14.5 oz can)
pinto beans, drained (1 - 14.5 oz can)
1 (12 ounce) bottle beer
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:
1. Saute onion in olive oil until translucent. Add to slow cooker, along with tomatoes and beans.
2. Brown beef in same pan, adding a little salt to season.
3. Drain beef and add to slow cooker. Add a little beer to the pan to deglaze and get all the good crispy bits. Pour into slow cooker and add rest of the beer.
4. Stir in seasonings and cook.
5. An hour before serving, taste and adjust seasoning as desired. Add a little flour if it is too thin.
