Delightfully light textured raised biscuit. Very buttery.
Ingredients:
1 pkg yeast
3/4 cup of lukewarm water
2 teaspoons of melted shortning
1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of sifted a.p. flour
melted butter
Directions:
1. Mix first five ingredients.
2. Add 2 cups of sifted flour.
3. Turn out onto floured board and pat into a square, 1/2 thick.
4. Cut into squares.
5. Dip ino melted butter.
6. Let rise one hour.
7. Bake at 425 degress for 12 minutes.
