Smothered Chicken Tenders With Chicken Gravy

My father-in-law “Pop” gave me his recipe to make this dish. As you can see, I cooked it and it came out delicious. Thanks Pop :)
Ingredients:
1-1 1/2 pounds of chicken breast tenders
1 small onion, finely chopped
2-12 oz jars of heinz classic chicken gravy
1-6 1/2 oz can of sliced mushrooms, drained (optional)
2/3 cup of white wine
pam cooking spray
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Salt and pepper the chicken tenders.
2. Spray a large skillet with PAM.
3. On medium heat, lightly brown the chicken tenders then remove them from the skillet and set aside. (about 2 minutes on each side)
4. Deglaze the skillet with the wine.
5. Sauté the onion and mushrooms in the wine until the onions are translucent or until the wine cooks off. (About 5 minutes)
6. Add the gravy to the skillet.
7. Add the chicken back to the skillet.
8. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally (Until the chicken is cooked through)
9. Serve over freshly cooked white rice.
