Smooth And Creamy Chocolate Buttercream

Chocolaty goodness for frosting you favorite cake, cupcakes, brownies, etc! Makes enough to frost a triple layer cake.
Ingredients:
4 sticks butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1 lb (plus) confectioners sugar
1/2 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients, except chocolate, in stand mixer at medium speed (start slow so sugar doesn't fly every where!)
2. Melt chocolate in double boiler (or in microwave)
3. Add to mixer and combine.
4. Add additional confectioners sugar, if needed, to reach desired consistency.
