I created this recipe based on another recipe I used to make with smoked ham. I decided to give it a german twist inspired by an imported german smoked prosciutto. I was pleased that even my bf, who is not a deviled eggs fan at all, loved them! Read more !
Ingredients:
30 hard-cooked eggs, peeled and cut lengthwise (link below)
1 cup best foods mayonnaise
4 oz cream cheese, softend
2 tablespoons sweet german mustard
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
2 tablespoons dried dill
kosher salt & fresh ground black pepper to taste
1 package (7 oz) diced prosciutto ham (link below)
smoked paprika & fresh dill sprigs for garnish
Directions:
1. Pop out the egg yolks to a small bowl and mash with a fork. Add mayonnaise, cream cheese, mustard, parsley, salt and pepper and mix thoroughly. Pipe/Fill the empty egg white shells with the mixture, top with prosciutto, dill and sprinkle lightly with paprika.
2. Cover lightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to one day before serving. Or you can keep the empty eggs and filling separate until you are ready to serve.
