Smashed Potatoes

These potatoes are great with grilled chicken, ribs, steak, etc.
Ingredients:
2 -4 teaspoons minced garlic
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 lbs gourmet baby red potatoes
1/2 cup light cream
1/4 cup butter
2 -3 tablespoons chives
salt & pepper (coarse salt & fresh ground pepper are best)
Directions:
1. Quarter unpeeled potatoes and cook in salted boiling water until tender (about 15-20 minutes).
2. Drain.
3. Add rest of ingredients.
4. Smash.
