Smashed Potato, Parsnips And Rutabaga

Really yummy, tastes so good. It is the dish at the front on the right.
Ingredients:
8 cups cubed potatoes
4 cups of peeled and chopped parsnips
1 rutabaga peeled and chopped
1 onion chopped
3 tablespoons salt, divided
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese softened
1 stick butter
black pepper
Directions:
1. 1. In saucepan combine potatoes, parsnips, rutabagas and onion and 2 tablespoons salt add water to cover.
2. 2. Bring to a boil over high heat and then reduce toa simmer for 10-12 minutes or until tender.
3. 3. Drain well
4. 4. Add remaining salt, cream cheese, butter and pepper and mash together.
