A great recipe from my youth Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs hamburger |
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (15 ounce) can crushed tomatoes |
1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes (do not drain) |
2 cloves garlic, chopped |
8 -10 ounces elbow macaroni or 8 -10 ounces shell pasta or 8 -10 ounces rotini pasta |
1 large onion, diced |
salt |
fresh ground pepper |
Directions:
1. In a 3 quart dutch oven, brown and crumble hamburger. 2. Drain off grease. 3. Add all 3 cans of tomatos. 4. Add garlic. 5. Simmer 5 to 10 minutes untill heated thru. 6. In a seperate sauce pan prepare Pasta according to package directions. 7. Drain pasta and add to sauce mix, stir to mix. 8. Garnish with chopped onion, and salt and pepper to taste. 9. Serve with bread and butter on the side. |
