Slow Cooker Pizza Pork Chops

Quick, easy and VERY tasty. This is a slightly modified recipe from the Pillsbury Bake Off
Ingredients:
6 pork loin chops, 1 inch thick (about 2 1/4 lb)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
2 cups diced tomatoes or 2 cups stewed tomatoes
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
4 cups cooked rice
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz)
Directions:
1. In 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add pork; cook about 5 minutes, turning once, until brown.
2. Place chops in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker.
3. Sprinkle onion over pork.
4. Add canned tomatoes, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
5. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 4 to 6 hours.
6. Spoon rice on platter. Top with pork chops and sauce. Sprinkle with cheese.
