I got this recipe from my Mom, and it is great! And truly easy! Even if you are not a big fan of cloves, this recipe is great because there is only a hint of cloves. And it is a great alternative at holiday times if you're tired of the same old turkey. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 lbs pork roast
1 (14 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup red wine or 1/2 cup cranberry juice
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
4 tablespoons cornstarch
4 tablespoons water
Directions:
1. Place pork into slow cooker.
2. Mix together cranberry sauce, sugar, wine, mustard and cloves and pour over pork.
3. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
4. When pork is cooked, remove it from slow cooker and keep warm.
5. In a sauce pan, whisk together the corn starch and water. Slowly add the remaining cranberry mixture to the sauce pan and cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly.
6. Serve cranberry mixture with pork.
