Slow Cooker Cheese Dip

This is a great party favorite. This recipe makes a lot though, so make sure it is a big party. And use thick chips.
Ingredients:
1 lb 95% lean ground beef
1 lb bulk italian sausage
16 oz pasteurized processed cheese (velveta), cubed
11 oz can sliced jalapeno peppers, drained
1 medium onion, diced
8 oz cheddar cheese, cubed
8 oz cream cheese, cubed
8 oz cottage cheese
8 oz sour cream
8 oz can diced tomatoes, drained
3 cloves of garlic, minced
dash of salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Brown ground beer and sausage in skillet over medium-high heat, stirring to break up meat. Drain and discard fat.
2. Transfer meat and all other ingredients to crock-pot slow cooker.
3. Cover and cook on high for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until cheeses melted. Do not open the cover until finished.
4. Serve with crackers or tortilla chips.
