Slow Cooker Black Chicken

When my son was first starting to eat meat (hard to believe that was about 3 years ago now), I came across this recipe and he LOVED IT!!
Ingredients:
8 chicken thighs
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt & pepper, to taste
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons corn syrup
Directions:
1. The evening before, place chicken in slow cooker.
2. Mix together brown sugar, dry mustard, garlic, and salt & pepper. Sprinkle this mixture over the chicken and refrigerate over night.
3. In the morning mix together the soy sauce and corn syrup and pour over the chicken.
4. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
