Ingredients:
1 tbsp olive oil
6 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 tsp red pepper
1/2 tsp salt
28 oz crushed tomatoes
3 cups water
12 oz ziti (about 4 cups dry)
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 oz grated parmesan cheese (about 1/2 cup)
1/4 cup fresh minced basil
4 oz shredded mozzarella (about 1 cup)
1 ground black pepper

7. Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Combine oil, garlic, pepper flakes and 1/2 tsp salt in a large oven-safe, non-stick skillet and saute over medium-high heat for about one minute. Add crushed tomatoes, ziti, water and 1/2 tsp salt. Cover and cook, stirring often and adjusting the heat as needed to maintain a simmer, until the ziti is almost tender (about 15 minutes).
8. Stir in the cream, Parmesan and basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle the mozzarella evenly over the ziti. Transfer to the oven and bake until cheese has melted and browned, about 10 minutes. Serve.
