Simply Perfect Mussels Marinara

A simple recipe that will impress the seafood lovers in your family. So simple to make at home that you will never have to go out and order this dish again. So get out your red checkered table cloth, some wine glasses and enjoy.
Ingredients:
2 lbs mussels
1 cup white wine (use what you like to drink)
1 small onion
3 -4 garlic cloves
1 quart marinara sauce (homemade or a good jar sauce)
4 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:

2. Scrape aqnd scrub mussels clean – Toss any that are not closed.
3. Mince onion and garlic
4. Cooking:
5. In a tall pot sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil until they are translucent (don't burn the garlic).
6. Add the wine and bring to a boil.
7. Add the mussels, cover pot and cook until the mussels are fully opened (toss unopened mussels).
8. In a separate pot bring the marinara sauce to a boil, then pour it over the mussels.
9. Turn heat off and serve over linguine or your favorite pasta.
10. Serve with garlic bread, a salad and some more of that great white wine. Heaven!.
11. Servings size depends on the appetites of those you are serving.
