My mother used to make this every Christmas Eve dinner. As I got older, I decided that once a year was not enough! I don't even need a special occasion for this simple, delicious dish! Ingredients:
8 ounces softened cream cheese |
16 ounces sour cream |
2 small cans of tiny shrimp |
cavender's all purpose greek seasoning |
Directions:
1. 1. Mix softened cream cheese and sour cream thoroughly. Cream cheese may be put in microwave for about 20 seconds prior to mixing to blend easier with the sour cream. 2. 2. Drain tiny shrimp and add to sour cream mixture. Fresh shrimp may be used, but the canned add a better texture to the dip. 3. 3. Add greek seasoning to taste. 4. 4. Chill for 3-4 hours and serve with ruffle potato chips or pretzel crackers. Best served after chilling overnight, perfect to make the night before a party. |
