Acid in the juice cooks the fish in this no-cook starter.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 cup fresh orange juice (about 2 large oranges)
1/3 cup vertically sliced red onion
1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
1 tablespoon canola oil
2 teaspoons hot sauce
1/2 pound mahimahi or other firm white fish, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 avocado, peeled and diced
1 jalapeƱo pepper, seeded and minced
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, and toss well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
