Found on , with some minor adjustments for our taste. I like this as it has no tahini, which I can't find locally - plus it helps drops the calories. Uses ingredients I always have on hand.
Ingredients:
15 ounces chickpeas
2 -3 teaspoons garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon red pepper
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions:
1. Drain chickpeas, reserving liquid. Add remaining ingredients to food processor, blending well to desired consistency. Add reserved chickpea liquid as needed to get the correct texture.
