Simple Beer Bread

makes a nice textured heavy bread that is awesome with soups and stews
Ingredients:
1 (12 ounce) can beer
3 cups self rising flour
3 tablespoons white sugar (or as much as 1/3 cup)
Directions:
1. In large bowl mix together the sugar and flour, add beer and continue to mix, first using a spoon then your hands.
2. batter will be sticky.
3. Pour into a 9x5 greased loaf pan
4. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes.
5. top will be crunchy.
