Simple And Wonderful Sweet And Sour Red Cabbage

Needing a sugar free red cabbage recipe for a relative , I found one that easily adapted using Splenda. This is truley delicious and looks nice and red-purple I like to serve it with brisket or roast chicken
Ingredients:
1 med head of red cabbasge, cored and sliced thin
1 stick butter,margarine or 4 oz olive oil
6 heaping tbs of splenda ( less than 1/2 cup )
2/3 cup white or dark balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
aditional splenda or vinegar if needed
Directions:
1. Melt butter in pot over mdium heat.
2. Stir in and saute cabbage until wilted.
3. Add the vinegar, sugar ( and a cinnmaon stick if desired ).
4. Simmer low heat about 1 hour or cabbage is tender as desired.
5. Salt and pepper and correct seasoning.
