THis is a real conversation starter. Serve it with ranch dip if you want to cool off the peppers. Everyone will want you to brng these to the next party!
Ingredients:
one large can of whole, pickled jalapenos (usually 12-15 per can)
raw shrimp, one for each pepper
one strip of bacon for each pepper
toothpicks (optional)
Directions:
1. Drain the jalapenos, cut them half way open long ways and clean out the seeds.
2. Place a raw shrinp in the cavity of each pepper
3. Wrap each pepper in bacon. I usually just cook them with the seam side of the bacon down, but you could secure the bacon with a toothpick.
4. I like these on the grill, but they can also be baked in a 400 degree oven. Just cook them long enough to crisp the bacon, which will be plenty long to cook the shrimp. For the adventurous, pop the whole thing into your mouth. Or cut them in half or even thirds and dip in ranch dressing.
