This is delicious and fun for an informal dinner party. I put little tin buckets at everyone's seat for the shells. Serve with green salad, rice and warm crusty Italian bread. Wet towels help a lot with messy fingers when done!
Ingredients:
2 lbs jumbo shrimp, raw with shells
5 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup worcestershire sauce
4 bay leaves
1 teaspoon red pepper
1/2 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/3 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1 teaspoon oregano
6 garlic cloves, chopped
1 pinch rosemary
1/4 cup dry red wine
1/4 cup italian dressing
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 Degrees.
2. Over a medium to low flame simmer all ingredients except the Shrimp, wine and dressing for 10 minutes.
3. Add shrimp, wine and dressing.
4. Turn flame up to medium high.
5. simmer shrimp until dark red, stirring frequently (10 min approx).
6. remove most of the sauce from the shrimp and place shrimp in a preheadted 450 degree oven for about 10 minutes, stirring once or twice.
7. Remove from oven, pour sauce back on shrimp, and when cool enough serve.
