I got this recipe from a friend at work who brought it in for a get together. It is absolutely delicious. We use it for family gatherings and usually double the recipe to have enough. Make it a day ahead as it cooks for 8 hours.
Ingredients:
3 -4 lbs chuck roast
2 beef bouillon cubes
1/2 teaspoon rosemary
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon savory salt
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
water, to cover
2 cups barbecue sauce
bun
Directions:
1. Place roast, bouillon cubes, spices and tomato paste in Dutch Oven. Cover with water. Bring to a boil; simmer covered for four hours.
2. Uncover and simmer four more hours.
3. Add barbecue sauce and cook uncovered until tender and falling apart. Remove bones and fat. Shred what has not fallen apart and serve on buns.
