From Mom's notebooks. If using wooden or bamboo skewers, soak them in water while the meat is marinating, so they don't burn.
Ingredients:
2 lbs stewing beef
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup distilled vinegar
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash black pepper
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
1 cucumbers or 1 zucchini, cut in 1/2-inch slices
32 button mushrooms
32 cherry tomatoes
Directions:
1. Combine beef, oil, vinegar, onion, salt, pepper and worcestershire sauce in a large zip top bag. Press out as much air as possible. Refrigerate 1-3 hours.
2. Thread meat and vegetables onto 16 skewers. Grill over medium heat on all 4 sides, about 6 minutes each side.
