Sherried Eggs With Cheese

This recipe comes from a little book called ABC Jiffy Cookery. I've had it for over 50 years. I haven't cooked any of the recipes yet. I'm putting them on here so I can find them easier.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1/2 cup cream
1/2 lb swiss cheese, grated
6 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sherry wine
Directions:
1. Melt 1/2 cup butter in double boiler. Add cream and heat. Add grated cheese and stir until almost melted. Add slightly mixed eggs and salt.
2. As eggs are beginning to set, stir from bottom until eggs are lightly scrambled. Then add the rest of the butter and the sherry.
3. Serve on toast that has been spread with deviled ham or accompany with grilled ham.
