Sherried Beef Stew

This is a good recipe for a Dutch oven.
Ingredients:
3 lbs stewing beef
8 ounces water chestnuts, sliced
1 cup sherry wine
2 -15 3/4 ounces mushroom soup
2 ounces onion soup mix
1 lb carrot, sliced
cooked rice
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in large Dutch oven; mix well.
2. Bake at 300 degrees for 4 hours.
3. Serve over rice.
