Sesame-Garlic Brown Rice

Prep: 3 minutes; Cook: 12 minutes. Instead of serving plain brown rice, pump up the flavor of your meal with this Asian-inspired brown rice.
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups water
1 cup instant brown rice (such as uncle ben's)
2 teaspoons dark sesame oil
1 cup shredded carrot
1 tablespoon bottled minced garlic
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
Directions:
1. Combine water and rice in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until water is absorbed.
2. Heat sesame oil in a small skillet; add carrot, and sauté 2 to 3 minutes or until crisp-tender.
3. Remove rice from heat; stir in sautéed carrot, garlic, and remaining ingredients.
