Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 -3 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 1/8 cup hot water

Directions:

  1. Mix together first 8 ingredients stir well, add enough flour to form a soft dough.
  2. Let rise until double the size then knead and roll out to 1/2 inch thick. Cut like doughnuts and let rise again. Deep fry until golden brown.
  3. Glaze:.
  4. Mix together icing sugar margarine and add enough water to make a runny glaze, dip spudnuts in and set to cool.
  5. •Or shake spudnuts in a bag of 1 cup of white sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar.
