Seafood Hot Pepper Soup

This is a low cal, low fat soup and it's HOT, HOT, HOT
Ingredients:
1 pound fresh fish, any firm mild type, cut into medium pieces
salt
ground black pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 to 4 habanero peppers, seeded and chopped fine (see note)
2 to 3 cups beef or chicken stock
1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
1 dash ground ginger
1 dash garlic powder
1 dash ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
1/2 pound fresh prawns or jumbo shrimp, peeled, cleaned and deveined
Directions:
1. Sprinkle fish lightly with salt and black pepper
2. Heat oil in a medium stock pot
3. Add fish and cook for 3 minutes on each side
4. Carefully remove fish from pot and set aside
5. Add chopped onion and habanero peppers to the pot
6. Cook, stirring frequently, for 3 minutes
7. Add stock, thyme, garlic,ginger, cloves and cayenne
8. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes
9. Add fish and prawns and cook 10 minutes
10. Serve immediately
11. NOTE:
12. Be sure to wear gloves when working with these extremely hot peppers. For milder flavor, use half of a pepper. Four peppers produces an extremely hot broth
