Scalloped Potatoes with Herbed Cheese

I clipped this recipe from our local newspaper quite some time ago and I have been making it ever since. It goes great with Baked Ham but try it with any other meat that strikes your fancy.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups milk
4 ounces herbed cream cheese
3/4 cup grated swiss cheese (grated)
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 pinch nutmeg
1 1/2 lbs baking potatoes, peeled,cut into 1/4 inch slices (about 5 med)
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
2. Butter 9-inch casserole dish.
3. In medium saucepan, melt butter.
4. Whisk in flour.
5. Cook 2 or 3 minutes at medium heat without browning, stirring constantly.
6. Gradually whisk in milk.
7. Bring to a boil.
8. Reduce heat.
9. Simmer gently 5 minutes.
10. Add cream cheese, swiss cheese, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
11. Stir until cheese melts.
12. Layer potatoes and butter sauce alternately in buttered dish, ending with sauce.
13. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
14. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
15. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
