Scalloped Pineapple Casserole

This recipe was given to me from a friend of mine. The ingredients may sound a little different, but it is really good and easy to make. We make this for holiday dinners such as Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We don't like pineapple on the ham, but love this as the side dish to go with our ham.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, well drained
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
4 cups cubed white bread (crusts removed)
Directions:
1. In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
2. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
3. Stir in pineapple, cheese and lemon juice (will look broken from the lemon juice).
4. Fold in bread cubes.
5. Place in buttered 2 qt baking dish.
6. Bake uncovered at 350 for 40-45 minutes until top is light golden brown.
7. Serve warm.
