Ingredients:

  • 3 large onions
  • 1/2 cup. sugar

Directions:

  1. Slice onions, place in pan of water enough to cover onions and cook until very limp.
  2. Remove onions to collander and drain off excess water.
  3. Arrange onions rigs in shallow 8 x 19 baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle sugar over onions, then bread crumbs.
  5. Salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Dot with butter.
  7. Bake in 350 degree oven until bubbly-about 20 to 30 minutes.
  8. Serves 6-8
