This is a recipe I got from a former co-worker. Everyone at the potluck lunch devoured the apples and wanted the recipe. It is very rich and it's definitely not low fat but for an occasional treat or for the holidays, it's fantastic. It can be served as dessert or as a side dish. ENJOY!!!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
8 ounces cream cheese
2 cans sliced apples (not pie filling)
Directions:
1. Melt butter and cheese and then add the flour, sugar and butter.
2. (stovetop or microwave) Layer drained apples in a 10 x 13 casserole.
3. Pour mixture over apples.
4. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees or until lightly browned.
