Yummy and Oh so (3 step) simple! A great southern favorite.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons pork fat
2 stalks celery, chopped
4 green onions, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 1/2 lbs smoked sausage, sliced diagonal
14 ounces tomatoes
4 ounces tomato paste
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup rice
1 1/2 cups jumbo shrimp, cooked
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients except shrimp to a large pot.
2. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
3. Add shrimp. serve.
