Sauteed Savoy Cabbage and Pears

Sweet and savory side dish.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter, divided
1 savoy cabbage, shredded (or finely chopped)
2 bosc pears, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt (to taste)
1/4 teaspoon pepper (to taste)
Directions:
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp of the butter; add the shredded cabbage and toss to coat with the butter. Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes or until it is crisp-tender.
2. While the cabbage is cooking, in a seperate skillet, over med-high heat, melt the remaining 1 tbsp butter;.
3. add the thinly sliced pears and sugar. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
4. Stir the pears into the cabbage skillet. Cook over medium low heat for about 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Serve.
