easy, impressive pastry filled sausage and cream cheese Wellington
Ingredients:
1 lb sausage meat ( could be turkey based too )
1, 8oz cream cheese, room temp
1 pkg crescent rolls
1 egg white
seseme seeds
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. 1-pound sausage,Cook & drain.
3. Mix in 1 (one) 8 oz. Package cream cheese (room temperature).
4. Mix until well blended in skillet with sausage.
5. 1-package crescent rolls - spread out & pinch together.
6. Roll with
7. rolling pen to rectangle 10x12.
8. Spread cream cheese/sausage mixture in middle of roll to within 1 of ends (10 ) & to within 3 of sides (12 ).
9. Take regular table knife and cut slits 3 along side about 1/2 wide.
10. Fold ends down first.
11. Then fold up forming a braid.
12. Brush with one beaten egg white.
13. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
14. Bake 20-30 minutes.
15. Let cool 10 minutes before moving to serving platter or tray.
16. use 2 plastic spatulas to move it to the serving platter so it doesn't
17. separate, then slice.
18. Slice down the middle then slice into slices.
