Sausage Cornbread Bake

This is an excellent breakfast or brunch recipe. Easy to make and yummy enough for even the kids to like.
Ingredients:
1 lb turkey sausage (breakfast sausage)
1 large onion, diced
1 bell pepper
1/2 cup egg substitute
1 1/2 cups self-rising cornmeal, mix
1 (17 ounce) can cream-style corn
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup oil
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 425°F Grease 10 ovenproof skillet or 2 quart baking dish. Brown sausage in medium skillet; set aside. Sautee bell pepper and onion in sausage grease until crisp-tender. Add browned sausage to pepper and onion.
2. In large bowl, combine eggs, corn meal mix, corn, milk and oil. Pour half of corn meal mixture into greased baking dish.; sprinkle with sausage mixture and cheese. Pour remaining corn bread batter over top.
3. Bake at 425 F for 30-40 minutes until golden brown on top. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
