In just about 45 minutes you can make this hearty casserole, hot and bubbling from the oven and featuring a flavorful combination of sausage, stuffing, ground beef, spinach and white beans in a delectable mushroom-blue cheese sauce.
Ingredients:
1 pound sweet or hot italian pork sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 (6 ounce) bag fresh baby spinach leaves
1 (10.75 ounce) can campbell's® condensed cream of mushroom soup (regular, 98% fat free or 25% less sodium)
1/4 cup milk
1 (15 ounce) can white kidney beans (cannellini), rinsed and drained
1 cup pepperidge farm® herb seasoned stuffing
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese or shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Cook the sausage, beef and onion in a 12-inch oven-safe skillet until the sausage and beef are well browned, stirring often to break up beef. Pour off any fat. Stir in the spinach and cook until the spinach is wilted.
3. Stir the soup, milk and beans in the skillet.
4. Stir the stuffing and cheese in a small bowl. Sprinkle around the inside edge of the skillet.
5. Bake for 30 minutes or until the sausage mixture is hot and bubbling.
