Great side dish with brats that have been steamed in beer and then grilled. Especially in the fall.
Ingredients:
2 lbs. of refrigerator pack sauerkraut
2 cups of dry white wine
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of caraway seed
1 teaspoon of allspice
1/2 cup of butter
sour cream
1/2 cup of crisp cooked crumbled bcon
Directions:
1. Drain sauerkraut well.
2. combine with wine, caraway, allspice and butter.
3. Cover and simmer over low heat 20 minutes.
4. Serve topped with sour cream and crumbled bacon.
