This is the perfect match for my Beer Cheese Spread. I love to serve these with chili or brats on a Sunday Football afternoon. Even though it is FL, we still enjoy warm comfort foods like brats, chili, beer cheese dips, warm biscuits, football on the tube, and cozy fireplace afternoons. Believe it or not, I do use my fireplace. But regardless ... The Fall and Winter months scream comfort foods and this is one of them. It is quick and easy to make.
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups bisquick baking mix
1/3 cup butter, and yes frozen (frozen)
2/3 cup beer (lager or bock no light beer, room temperature)
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Directions:
1. Butter - This may sound different, but it is really important. Using a standard vegetable or cheese grater, grate the frozen butter through the large holes over a medium size bowl with the baking mix and thyme. Slowly add the beer and stir until all combined. The mix will be very thick, but don't worry.
2. Bake - Oven to 450 and I like to use the mini muffin tins for this recipe, but regular ones will work just fine. The recipe will make 12 regular size and 24 mini biscuits.
3. Spray the muffin tins with Pam or any non stick spray, fill the cups up all the way and bake. 8-10 minutes for the small biscuits, 12-15 for the larger biscuits.
