Ingredients:
4 cup(s) flour
1 tablespoon(s) plus 2 t. baking powder
2 teaspoon(s) salt
3/4 cup(s) shortening
1 1/2 cup(s) milk
1 tablespoon(s) shortening
Directions:
1. Combing first 3 ingredients in a large bowl; cut in 3/4 cup shortening with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. Add milk, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Let dough stand 5 min.
2. Heat 2 10 inch cast iron skillets in a 400degree oven 5 minutes.
3. Divide dough in half; roll each half into a 10-inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
4. Remove skillets from oven, add half of 1T shortening to each, rotating to coat. Place dough in skillets.
5. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 min. or until golden brown.
