A lovely, traditional Spanish drink to share with friends on a summer evening.
Ingredients:
1 large orange or two satsumas
i apple
i peach
1 nectarine
8 strawberries (or more!)
a slice of melon
1 bottle red wine
1 bottle clear lemonade
1 cup brandy
the fruit i've listed can be changed to suit your taste - but stay away from grapefruit, pineapple and bananas. trust me - i've tried and they don't work
Directions:
1. Peel and dice the orange, apple, peach, nectarine and melon.
2. Dice the strawberries
3. Combine them all, pour over the brandy and leave to marinate in the fridge for an hour
4. In a 2 litre jug (a glass one is best because this drink is pretty) put the fruit and brandy mix in first.
5. Pour in the red wine and then the lemonade
6. Stir
7. Taste - add more brandy if you want more of a kick or more lemonade if you prefer.
8. Chill until cold
9. To serve, first spoon some of the fruit into glasses before pouring the drinks.
