I found this on the web representing Tanzania. I'm a little confused about the folding/sealing method so if make this recipe please let us know what you did.
Ingredients:
15 egg roll wraps, cut into 30 squares
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb onion, chopped
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon red pepper
oil, for frying
Directions:
1. Brown the ground beef with the onion, drian and let cool.
2. Mix in the spices and adjust to your taste.
3. Fold each square into a triangle, add about one teaspoon meat mixture, and seal edges with water (or) fold each square into an ice cream cone shape, turn up bottom and seal with water, add about one teaspoon of meat mixture, fold over top and seal using water.
4. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown–this does not take long!
5. To store: freeze and thaw in oven 10 minutes at 350 degrees. This helps prevent soggy samoosa!
