Ingredients:
2/3 cup salted butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 tablespoon crème fraîche or sour cream
1/2 cup mascarpone cream
Directions:
1. In a sauce pan, arrange salted butter, sugar and one tablespoon water and let caramelize over high heat.
2. Remove from the heat and add crème fraîche. Let cool a few minutes.
3. Add unsalted butter, and stir until melted, then add mascarpone.
4. Whisk, let cool at room temperature and refrigerate.
