This dish is as easy as you want to make it and my family loves it - add your favourite nacho chips or pita or even veggies and you're good to go. Notes: 1. Take the cream cheese out of the fridge at least an hour before making - it is easier to mix together. Read more . 2. Don't worry about getting each and every lump and bump worked out of the cream cheese/mayo mixture, especially if it is going to be a little while before serving 3. It is best if let sit for a while, even prepare day before - the flavours come together nicely over some time.
Ingredients:
1 pkg cream cheese
1 cup mayo or 1/2 cup mayo & 1/2 cup sour cream
2 green onions, chopped (optional)
1/2 tsp* chili powder (*to taste)
salsa
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (or more, depending on the surface area of your dish)
your favourite nacho chips or pita or veggies (or all)
Directions:
1. Mix until blended - cream cheese, mayo, sour cream (if using)
2. Add green onion and chili powder into mixture
3. Spread mixture over bottom of shallow dish
4. Spread salsa in generous layer over top of cheese mixture
5. Sprinkle cheddar cheese generously over top of salsa
